National Service Scheme has been on the run in full swing in the College since 1987-88 academic session. At present there are more than 200 student-volunteers enrolled in the two NSS units. They have been engaged in different social service and public welfare programmes like Literacy Campaign, Blood Donation Camp, Pulse-Polio Programme, AIDS Awareness Programme etc. Besides these, they have been playing active role in developing the College compound by Tree Plantation Programme, Pollution Awareness Programme, Environment Conservation Programme etc. Added to their regular programmes, Special Camps of the volunteers are held regularly. There are full-time teachers in charge of the Programme Officers of two NSS units in the College. NSS Programme Officers - (1) Prof. Abdul Kader Dafader & (2) Dr. Indrani Mukherjee.
